• Canterbury Kings lost for the first time in five matches as they were beaten by Northern Brave in their most recent contest, suffering an eight-wicket defeat as they failed to defend a total of 173.
• The will now have to settle for second spot on the ladder after that loss but their recent form is still impressive and they will be looking to make an immediate return to winning ways ahead of the knockout stage of the tournament.

THE PREDICTION

Otago Volts have been extremely disappointing during the Super Smash and with just one win to their name so far, it is little surprise that they will bow out after this contest. For Canterbury Kings, they will be looking to compound the woes of the Volts as they look to go into the knockout stages with a win under their belts. They lost last time out but that was their only defeat in their last five so they should be able to respond here and come away with the win.
