Chelsea remain in the top six but in woeful form as they welcome Manchester United, needing to bounce back, to Stamford Bridge on Saturday night.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – TNT Sports / USA – NBC

How to watch online: UK – HBO Max / USA – Peacock

Chelsea preview: Poor Blues

In the 21 matches across all competitions that Liam Rosenior has been in charge for, Chelsea have managed just ten wins with four of those coming against EFL clubs in their FA Cup run, and another against Pafos.

Basically, aside from a couple of standout performances and results, it has been a fairly embarrassing few months for the Blues and that continued with a 3-0 loss to Manchester City last week.

Man Utd preview: Need a response

Manchester United have been impressive since the appointment of Michael Carrick and the Red Devils are all but certain to finish in at least the top five and secure UEFA Champions League qualification this season.

However, they were outplayed for large parts of their most recent outing as they succumbed to an infamous 2-1 defeat to rivals Leeds United at Old Trafford in their most recent outing, last weekend.

Chelsea team news: Fernandez back

Argentina international midfielder Enzo Fernandez is expected to be back involved this weekend after completing his internal suspension against Port Vale and Manchester City.

England international defender Trevoh Chalobah is said to be 'very, very close' but his international teammate Reece James remains sidelined, while Levi Colwill will play for the under-21s.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; Gusto, Chalobah, Fofana, Cucurella; Caicedo, Santos; Palmer, Fernandez, Neto; Pedro

Unavailable: Jorgensen (Injured), Colwill (Fitness), James (Injured), Mudryk (Disciplinary), Gittens (Injured)

Questionable: Chalobah (Injured)

Man Utd team news: Centre-back issues

Following his red card for pulling the hair of Dominic Calvert-Lewin last weekend, Argentina international centre-back Lisandro Martinez is beginning a three-match suspension.

Harry Maguire has had his ban extended by a game, too, while fellow defenders Matthijs de Ligt and Patrick Dorgu remain confirmed injury absentees. It has also been reported that Leny Yoro has not travelled with the squad down to London and so Casemiro may be asked to slide back to centre-back.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Lammens; Dalot, Casemiro, Heaven, Shaw; Ugarte, Mainoo; Diallo, Fernandes, Cunha; Mbeumo

Unavailable: De Ligt (Injured), Maguire (Suspended), Martinez (Suspended), Yoro (Injured), Dorgu (Fitness)

Questionable: Mainoo (Injured)

Chelsea vs Man Utd prediction

Chelsea did show some signs of impetus and aggression in the first-half of that eventual hammering at the hands of City. That means they will likely punish a United side that often lack control and general defensive cohesion. However, United have a lot of attacking quality and Chelsea are a team lacking identity with both teams scoring seemingly a good bet for this one in the capital city.

Chelsea vs Man Utd tip: Both teams to score
