Camilo Ugo is enjoying an excellent week in Rio so far and he has had to come through qualifying to reach this stage. He lost his last qualifying match against Marcelo Barrios Vera on Sunday but he got a lucky loser reprieve and then proceeded to pull off the shock off the week so far. In the first round, he faced Spaniard Pedro Martinez and actually went a set down, but Ugo battled back to win the second and third set to eliminate the seventh seed.
He now meets Bosnian Damir Dzumhur on Thursday and this promises to be an intriguing match-up. The 32-year-old played well to beat Serb Dusan Lajovic 6-3 6-4 on Tuesday and it was a fully deserved victory.
This is one of the more evenly-matched ties on paper and the odds reflect that. We marginally prefer the Argentine who won a Challenger event a couple of weeks ago but it really could go either way. Consider game betting in this one as it could contain some lengthy sets.
