Brighton preview: Soaring Seagulls

Having finished last season well and qualified for the UEFA Europa Conference League, confirming their spot in the league phase with a 4-0 demolition of Tromso in the second-leg of their play-off round tie in August – and the goals have flowed ever since.

That continued last week with a 5-0 thrashing of Coventry City away from home last weekend before The Seagulls came from 2-0 down to defeat Manchester United by three goals to two in the third round of the EFL Cup in midweek.

Arsenal preview: Imperious champions

Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal side are bidding for multiple pieces of silverware after finally winning the Premier League once again last season and The Gunners have already added the Community Shield to the trophy cabinet this season.

That win last month began what is now a seven-match winning streak to begin their campaign, with 16-year-old Max Dowman scoring a brace in midweek to inspire the North Londoners to a 4-2 win at Portman Road against Ipswich Town the other day.

Brighton team news: Several injuries

Fairly surprisingly, Brighton went with quite a strong eleven for their defeat of United the other day and so there are not expected to be too many changes for the hosts this weekend, albeit the likes of Lewis Dunk, Maxim De Cuyper and Yasin Ayari should come back in.

Georginio Rutter returned to the squad and came off the bench in that game, while both Michael Svoboda and Femi Azeez do remain doubts at the moment.
