The 2023 Cheltenham Festival heads into the final day with all eyes on the Gold Cup. A Plus Tard claimed the victory in 2022, doing so in extremely impressive fashion and is right in the mix once again this time around but Galopin Des Champs and Bravemansgame are among those trying to wrestle the title from Henry de Bromhead’s horse.

14:50 Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle

Corbetts Cross looks to have every chance in the Albert Bartlett with the highly-promising horse coming into this on the back of three successive victories. Completed the hat-trick last month when landing a Grade 2 success at Naas, his first run under new trainer Emmet Mullins. Looks to have plenty more to come and is a serious contender in this one.

15:30 Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase

Another Gold Cup with numerous chances but there is a short-priced favourite this year and while they are always tough to side with in this race, preference has to go to Galopin Des Champs. The Willie Mullins horse has won every race but one over fences - in last year’s Gold Cup when travelling so well. He succumbed to an unfortunate fall this time 12 months ago but many believe he would have landed the prize that day and having romped to victory in the Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown, he is the one to beat here and can atone for last year’s disappointment.

16:50 Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase

Impervious has yet to taste defeat over fences and looks to be the one to beat here. Improved once again when stepping up in trip last time out, beating a horse that has since gone on to win to frank the form. That was a Grade 3 contest and while this will be more difficult to win, the mare looks to have what it takes to handle the course here with another win on the cards.
