Australia vs Argentina prediction

Like every other nation in the 2025 Rugby Championship, Australia have one win and one defeat so far in the competition. They began their campaign with a superb comeback victory over reigning champions South Africa in Johannesburg, earning a bonus point in the process, before losing 30-22 to the same opponents in Cape Town a week later.

Despite that most recent defeat though, the signs are positive from Joe Schmidt’s side that they have turned a corner after a challenging period in Australian rugby.

Argentina produced the performance of round two by defeating New Zealand 29-23 in Buenos Aires – their first ever triumph at home against the All Blacks. The Pumas will be in confident mood, especially given the fact that they hammered Argentina 67-27 in the last meeting between the two sides.

That contest took place in Argentina though, and with a confident Australia taking to the field on home turf on Saturday, we’re expecting a close contest that is likely to be decided by fine margins.

The two sided may cancel each other out to some extent, so the smart play could be in the total points market.

Australia vs Argentina tip: Under 56.5 points
