- Gold Coast produced their best performance of the season as they proved too good for Manly last week with consecutive wins their target now as they host an under-strength North Queensland side.
- The Titans will be without influential forward Jai Arrow after he was selected for Queensland but came through last week unscathed with the Titans opting to name an unchanged side from last week.
- Gold Coast have only registered three wins all season but they must be targeting this game to try and climb up the ladder whilst also looking to build some consistency in their results and performances.

- North Queensland won back-to-back games for the first time this season as they produced a solid display to win away at Canberra but face a tough ask here due to Origin call-ups and injuries.
- The Cowboys will be without skipper Michael Morgan after he was selected for the Maroons and will be joined by Josh McGuire to leave North Queensland without two important members of their squad.
- They are also without Justin O’Neill who suffered an awful injury to his spleen with the centre yet to leave hospital and Matt Scott is also out with a shoulder injury so Jake Clifford, Coen Hess, Scott Bolton and Corey Jensen all come into the side.
THE PREDICTION
Both of these teams picked up shock wins last week and will be looking to kick on but must do so without some key players although the Cowboys look to have the more difficult task. They have been hit by some big losses this week which will make it extremely tough to overcome. Losing Michael Morgan alone would have been difficult to handle but with three other big names also out, the Cowboys will have to really dig deep but with their strength in depth stretched to the limit, Gold Coast can claim back-to-back wins.
