Alexander Zverev vs Adam Walton prediction

Alexander Zverev competes in his first match on the tour in nearly a month. Zverev was on the end of one of the biggest upsets during the first few days of Wimbledon as he lost a dramatic five set encounter to Arthur Rinderknech in round one. The German headed into the major on the back of several grass court victories in different tournaments, but his poor record at the All England Club continued. He now makes the transition back to hard courts for the summer swing, having won this title in 2017.

Adam Walton will be his opponent in the second-round. Walton recovered from a slow start to dominate against Benjamin Bonzi, winning 4-6 6-0 6-3. The Australian saved nine out of 10 break points and picked up another victory after his credible run to the semi-finals of the Los Cabos Open in his previous event.

Zverev will be well-rested after some time off, which was necessary after already competing in 16 events this year. That rest should propel the world number three to a thoroughly comfortable victory over the world number 88.

Alexander Zverev vs Adam Walton tip: Alexander Zverev to win 2-0
