Zimbabwe Form: Over a year since last ODI win

Zimbabwe are somewhat of an unknown entity when considering their lack of ODI cricket over this calendar year. You have to go back to January for the last time they played in the 50-over format, that being a three-match set against Sri Lanka, which they lost by two games to nil. Before that, they had fallen to another 0-2 series defeat against Ireland, so the hosts still have plenty to figure out in ODI cricket.

Pakistan Form: Looking to follow up triumph down under

To have overcome Australia on their own patch will have given Pakistan a big boost and reason to be confident when it comes to their future prospects in 50-over cricket ahead of this coming February’s ICC Champions Trophy which is scheduled to be played in Pakistan as of now. This series gives them another opportunity to figure out what works and what doesn’t within their side.

LAST THREE: WWL

Zimbabwe Betting Analysis

There is plenty of experience within the Zimbabwean squad and plenty depends on those players if the home side are to be successful in this ODI and the series as a whole. One such player is Sean Williams. A consistent rock in the batting order and often reliable for Zimbabwe, Williams has the capability to battle hard to churn out tough against a strong Pakistan bowling attack. With that in mind, consider backing Williams to gain 20+ runs in the opening match.

Pakistan Betting Analysis

Arguably the stand-out performer across Pakistan’s entire white ball tour of Australia was fast bowler Haris Rauf. The right-arm pacer was an absolute menace, consistently giving the Aussie batters nightmares and ended the ODI series with ten wickets across three games, including a five-wicket-haul. Such numbers shouldn’t be ignored by bettors and backing Rauf to finish as Pakistan’s top bowler on Sunday has to be favoured.

Zimbabwe vs Pakistan Expert Prediction

It is likely to take Zimbabwe time to settle into proceedings here and the pace of ODI cricket in general. It’s always hard for a team to adapt when having played so little of a format and Pakistan will no doubt sense an opportunity for themselves to take advantage, beginning on Sunday. Provided rain doesn’t interfere, the tourists should wind up too strong for Zimbabwe.
