Key Stats

  • Zambia are aiming to win successive World Cup qualifying matches for the first time since September 2017 when they won back-to-back fixtures against Algeria.
  • Niger are aiming to win three successive World Cup qualifying matches for the first time.

Zambia vs Niger Prediction

With a game to go in the four-team Group E, Morocco have managed seven wins from seven with Niger sitting second in the group. Overperforming Niger need a point to ensure they are runners’ up and could get into the intercontinental playoffs. Zambia, on the other hand, can overtake both Tanzania and Niger with a victory, with a second place finish on goal difference a possibility.

Zambia come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 victory over Tanzania the other day, courtesy of a 75th minute winner scored by Fashion Sakala. Niger, on the other hand, eased past The Congo by three goals to one.

Niger have been very impressive in this qualifying campaign and their impressive defensive record should mark them out as the favourites to finish second.

Zambia vs Niger Tip: Double chance – Niger to win or draw & under 3.5 goals
