A really poor second half showing from Zambia ultimately cost them the game against DR Congo on Thursday. With the scores level at half-time, Zambia conceded two goals in the second period without replying, leaving them bottom of Group A. They still have three group matches left, so plenty of points left for Zambia to claim and give themselves the best chance of knockout qualification.

After being beaten 2-0 by Morocco in their opening fixture, Angola managed to get their first point of the group stage, drawing 1-1 with Kenya.
