It has been a typically dramatic start to the 2025/26 season for Wrexham as they now prepare to welcome West Bromwich Albion to the Racecourse Ground this weekend.

Wrexham vs West Brom prediction

On the opening day of the campaign, Wrexham suffered a 2-1 loss to just-relegated Southampton at St Mary’s in a game in which the Red Dragons were ahead until the 90th minute. They were then behind in midweek, losing 3-1 at home to Hull City before a late Ollie Palmer brace took the game to penalties, which they managed to win in the cup.

West Bromwich Albion have embarked upon a summer of change for this season, with Ryan Mason having been appointed in the dugout. The Baggies managed to edge past Blackburn Rovers by a goal to nil on the opening day of the campaign, courtesy of a 15th minute strike scored by Northern Ireland international midfielder Isaac Price.

Since then, Albion were beaten on penalties in the EFL Cup by Derby County. This one is expected to be quite an even affair, and it would be no surprise for to be a low-scoring clash in north Wales.
