Wolfsburg vs Man Utd prediction

Wolfsburg suffered their first setback of the league phase last week when they lost 3-1 away to eight-time champions Lyon in France, although they are in a relatively strong position in the table having won their first two matches against Paris SG (4-0) and Valerenga (1-2).

The German side progressed to the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup with a 3-1 win against Freiburg on Saturday, and are currently second behind fellow Women's Champions League participants Bayern Munich in the Frauen-Bundesliga table.

Man Utd boss Marc Skinner can have few complaints about his side's debut group stage/league phase campaign so far, with the Red Devils having won all three fixtures to date, most recently overcoming Paris SG 2-1 last Wednesday.

One of only three sides who boast a 100% record so far, Barcelona and OL Lyonnes the other two, things aren't going quite as well domestically for United though, having lost their last two Women's Super League fixtures, including 3-0 to local rivals Man City on Saturday.

Man Utd have lost a bit of their defensive resolve lately, and Wolfsburg boast undeniable talent in the attacking areas, so it will be a tough ask for the visitors to maintain their perfect record in the league phase. In what is the first ever meeting between the sides, we are cautiously edging towards the hosts.

Wolfsburg vs Man Utd tip: Wolfsburg draw no bet
