Wolfsburg sit firmly in the middle of the Bundesliga table as the inconsistent hosts welcome a struggling and rock-bottom Heidenheim side to the Volkswagen Arena.

Wolfsburg vs Heidenheim prediction

Wolfsburg come into this one on the back of a hard-fought 2-1 defeat of St Pauli in midweek, courtesy of a late Dzenan Pejcinovic winner, who is continuing his strong breakthrough campaign. That was a worthy reaction after they had been annihilated 8-1 by Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena last month.

Heidenheim sit rock-bottom at the half-way stage in this Bundesliga season with just three victories in their 17 matches thus far. They have collected just one point from their last four matches and were just the second team to be beaten by Mainz in their most recent outing the other day.

Heidenheim are regressing to their natural level, and that is reasonable after seasons of overperformance, with a Wolfsburg victory to be expected with their home advantage.

Wolfsburg vs Heidenheim tip: Wolfsburg to win
