Leigh Leopards Team News: Bug hits camp

Wigan Warriors vs Leigh Leopards Prediction
This semi-final has already generated plenty of headlines without a ball being kicked or a tackle having been made. An alleged row regarding the ticket allocation for Leigh Leopards supporters led to Leigh owner Derek Beaumont threatening to boycott the fixture. As it stands though, the match will go ahead and preparations have carried on as normal within the Leythers’ camp. As for Wigan Warriors, they’ve been in this situation before with these players and this is where we usually see them shift to an extra gear.
Leigh finished just three points below Wigan in the regular season, beating them in two of three Super League fixtures, including the notorious 0-1 golden point win to open up the campaign. But at this stage last year, the Warriors crushed their close neighbours 38-0 and that will no doubt be fresh in the minds of both teams.
This year’s semi-final between is the pair is expected to be significantly closer. Leigh are stronger, tougher and quick this time around, but Wigan Warriors are a machine when all their best players are fit and we reach this stage of the season. With home advantage in their favour, backing Matt Peet’s men has to be favoured.
