Wigan vs Peterborough prediction

Former Preston North End boss Ryan Lowe is in charge of his first full season at Wigan Athletic and it began well with a 3-1 defeat of Northampton Town on the opening day of the campaign. They were then beaten 2-0 by last season’s playoff finalists Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road before a slender 1-0 victory over Notts County in the EFL Cup.

Peterborough United, yet again, have undergone major surgery to their squad and, yet again, but a lot earlier, Darren Ferguson has been heavily critical of his players. Posh were beaten 2-1 by Accrington Stanley in the cup after starting their League One campaign with back-to-back defeats against Cardiff City and then Luton Town.

Posh are trying to integrate a lot of new players into a squad that has been ravaged again, and Wigan, with home advantage, will fancy their chances of piling on the misery.

Wigan vs Peterborough tip: Wigan to win
