Western Sydney Wanderers vs Newcastle Jets prediction

Western Sydney Wanderers pulled off one of the surprise results of the season so far last weekend, ending Melbourne Victory’s four-match winning streak with a battling 0-1 victory away from home. Such a result will have done wonders for the confidence of their squad, which had no doubt been struggling under the pressure of being down the wrong end of the table.

That makes this a really tough encounter for Newcastle Jets, who are coming off the back of two straight wins, but could find themselves frustrated in the same way that Melbourne were when pressing forwards. It would be no surprise if Western Sydney Wanderers kept a lid on the scoreline once again and backing under 2.5 goals scored for the fifth match of the last six involving the Wanderers has to be favoured.

Western Sydney Wanderers vs Newcastle Jets tip: Under 2.5 goals
