West Ham preview: Hammers’ big win
West Ham United come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium a couple of weeks ago being backed up by an impressive 2-0 defeat of Manchester United at Old Trafford last week as they take advantage of two poor sides.
Up against the UEFA Europa League finalists in Manchester last weekend, West Ham took the lead in the 26th minute via Czechia international midfielder Tomas Soucek before Jarrod Bowen sealed all three points for the Irons mid-way through the second-half.
Nottingham Forest preview: Still in the fight
Last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Leicester City at the City Ground was overshadowed by owner Evangelos Marinakis coming onto the pitch to remonstrate with Nuno Espirito Santo, albeit that has now been said to have been Marinakis’ frustration at the medical team.
The medical team are said to have allowed Taiwo Awoniyi to continue when he shouldn’t have and that led to Marinakis coming onto the pitch – according to a club statement. It was a result that dealt a major blow to Forest’s hopes of making the top five.

West Ham vs Nottingham Forest prediction
West Ham United will seek to play an entertaining style of football once they get through this difficult first campaign under Potter. There may well be a belief that they have begun to gel in recent weeks but the mitigating factors of it being against Spurs and United still remain. They now face a Forest side that know they probably need to win both of their remaining fixtures to stand a chance of a top five finish and it should well therefore be quite a fun watch for a neutral this one in east London.
