West Ham preview: Impressive Irons
West Ham United were not as impressive as they have been recently last weekend as they edged past League One side Burton Albion by a goal to nil after extra-time, courtesy of a Crysencio Summerville strike.
That result means that the Irons have now endured just one defeat in their last seven matches across all competitions, that coming away at Chelsea when they had been 2-0 up at half-time at Stamford Bridge.
Bournemouth preview: Back to some form
AFC Bournemouth have endured a mixed campaign but the Cherries appear to have come through the worst of it as they now begin the weekend’s round of fixtures back in the top-half of the table and chasing European qualification.
The visitors managed to defeat Everton by two goals to one at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in their most recent outing, extending their current unbeaten run of form to six matches in the Premier League.
West Ham team news: Pablo out
It is very rare that Nuno Espirito Santo confirms an injury absentee but the former Nottingham Forest manager has said that Pablo is an issue for this week and has not put a timeframe on his return.
French centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo has returned from his three-match ban but now young midfielder Freddie Potts is missing through suspension instead.
Predicted XI (4-4-2): Hermansen; Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Disasi, Diouf; Bowen, Soucek, Fernandes, Summerville; Castellanos, Wilson
Unavailable: Fabianski (Injured), Potts (Suspended), Pablo (Injured)
Questionable:
Bournemouth team news: Tavernier close
Former Middlesbrough man Marcus Tavernier has returned from a hamstring injury quicker than expected and Andoni Iraola did not rule out him being back available for this one.
It is still unlikely, though, with the Cherries also still dealing with the absences of fellow attackers Justin Kluivert and Ben Gannon Doak for the time being.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Petrovic; Jimenez, Hill, Senesi, Truffert; Scott, Cook; Adli, Kroupi, Rayan; Evanilson
Unavailable: Soler (Injured), Kluivert (Injured), Gannon Doak (Injured)
Questionable: Tavernier (Injured)
West Ham vs Bournemouth prediction
These are two of the more in-form sides in the Premier League with differing aspirations. Even with their improved run of form, the Hammers still remain firmly inside the bottom three and the relegation places. Bournemouth are closing the gap on the top seven or eight and neither are necessarily close to achieving their respective goals, but they are improving and both teams scoring would seem a good bet for this one in the east end of the capital city.
