Watford vs Burnley prediction

With former Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley in the dugout, Watford have been fairly forgettable but competent throughout this season as they sit firmly in mid-table. The Hornets were beaten 2-1 by West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns in their most recent outing last weekend.

Burnley, on the other hand, have risen to five points clear of Sheffield United due to the Blades’ three-match losing streak. The Clarets have conceded an astonishing 13 goals in 42 matches as they come into this one on the back of a fairly typically hard-fought 2-1 defeat of Norwich City at Turf Moor last week.

Watford have lacked goals and potency in the final third and Burnley will be expected to grind their way 91 points with another low-scoring victory in Hertfordshire in Good Friday.

Watford vs Burnley tip: Burnley to win & under 3.5 goals
