Warrington Wolves vs Wakefield Trinity prediction

Warrington Wolves have had to remain patient since their victory over St. Helens with their scheduled second round Super League fixture against Hull KR postponed due to the latter’s involvement in the World Club Challenge. Whilst it may lead to them starting slowly here as they transition back into serious game action, the preparation for this match will have been throughout and well-planned and in a sport as physical as this, any extended time off can only help.

Wakefield Trinity fought hard for their 16-18 win away at Huddersfield Giants last time out to put their first Super League points of the season on the board. Whilst there are still huge question marks from an offensive point of view, they are a tough side defensively and Warrington will need to battle hard in order to force their way through. In the end though, expect the Wire to wind up too strong.
