Warrington Wolves vs Hull KR prediction
Hull KR have been the best team across this season’s Super League and have backed that up with a fantastic Challenge Cup campaign, beating the likes of inter-city rivals Hull FC and Catalans Dragons on their way to the final. They arrive at Wembley on the back of a seven-match winning streak across all competitions, which includes a 12-31 victory over Warrington Wolves, their opponents here.
The Wire have been far more inconsistent in terms of results, winning three and losing four of their last seven. However, one of those victories was the all-important 21-14 triumph against Leigh Leopards to book a second consecutive Challenge Cup final. Wigan Warriors broke Warrington hearts last year and that will no doubt be fresh in the mind of their squad.
However, the reality is that Hull KR are a stronger all-round team, playing better rugby and far more consistent than Warrington. They are unlikely to be overawed by the occasion and are expected to rise to the challenge. Back Willie Peters’ men to bring the Challenge Cup back to Craven Park for just the second time in their history.
