Key stats

  • Wales are unbeaten in their last eight World Cup qualifying matches at home (W6 D2). They have won four in row.
  • Wales have lost only one of their last 14 World Cup qualifying matches (W9 D4). That was their defeat against Belgium on 9 June 2025.
  • Belgium have lost only two of their last 12 international matches against Wales (W6 D4).
  • Belgium are unbeaten in their last 33 World Cup qualifying matches (W26 D7), since a 2-0 away defeat against Estonia in October 2009.

Wales vs Belgium prediction

Wales come into this one on the back of a 3-0 defeat to England at Wembley Stadium in an international friendly in London the other day. The Welsh were blown away in the first 20 or so minutes by the Three Lions as they now head into a crucial must win clash against Belgium in FIFA World Cup qualification.

Performances have been underwhelming for Belgium ever since the appointment of Rudi Garcia and that continued the other day. The Red Devils were held to a goalless draw by an enterprising and improving North Macedonia side in the Belgian capital city of Brussels.

Belgium now find their qualification spot for next summer in a bit of peril and Wales should sniff blood here. It could be a thriller for the neutral at the Cardiff City Stadium.
