Villarreal vs Valencia prediction

Coached by former Valencia boss Marcelino, Villarreal have been very impressive once again this season as they seek UEFA Champions League qualification but the Yellow Submarine do come into this one on the back of a 2-1 loss to Getafe last weekend.

Carlos Corberan is just about staving off the pressure at Mestalla but Los Che remain firmly in the scrap against the drop. Valencia did earn themselves a much needed victory in the Valencian derby against Levante last week, however.

Both teams’ most recent outing was an away win at Levante but that perhaps says more about their opposition with neither in fine nor fluent form and a low scoring, low quality affair wouldn’t be a surprise.

Villarreal vs Valencia tip: Under 2.5 goals
