The first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round tie saw Vllaznia Shkoder defeat Vikingur Reykjavik by two goals to one at the Loro Borici Stadium in Shkoder in Albania last week. In that game, the Icelanders took a tenth minute lead via right-back Karl Fridleifur Gunnarsson, before Vllaznia turned the game on its head thanks to strikes from Esat Mala and Melos Bajrami in the second-half.
Vikingur were beaten by Panathinaikos in the knockout playoffs of the UEFA Europa Conference League and they have developed their European pedigree much beyond Vllaznia Shkoder.
