It’s been a hugely disappointing campaign so far for Verona, who have just three points from a possible 15 with three draws, two defeats and most notably no wins to their name. Sassuolo meanwhile, have won two of their last three and are starting to really click as a unit after a slow start in 2025-26.

Expect Sassuolo to try and take the game to Verona, taking advantage of the fact that Verona are likely struggling from a confidence perspective. But whilst Verona have home advantage, their fans will no doubt demand them to push forward and attack Sassuolo whenever possible, which could in turn leave them vulnerable to the counter attack.

It’s hard to look beyond Verona’s struggles to get that all-important win and therefore, the smart move here may well be to back Sassuolo via the double chance market to pick up either a win or draw.
