This is an intriguing contest at Mestalla this weekend but it is yet another extension of what has been a horrible fixture list for Real Oviedo as they now take on Valencia.

Valencia vs Oviedo prediction

Carlos Corberan and his Valencia side come into this one on the back of a middling start to the campaign, with their most recent outing being a 2-2 draw against Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium in Catalonia. The Valencians will be expecting to push towards the top seven or eight and the European spots this season.

Following their emotional and long awaited return to La Liga last season, Real Oviedo have been dealt a very tricky fixture list. They have lost all but one of their opening six games, but they did take the lead against defending champions Barcelona in Asturias the other day, before suffering a 3-1 loss at home to the Blaugrana.

Oviedo have been reasonable in terms of their performance level so far this season but it has been a very tough start and Valencia are only likely to add to that tough start.

Valencia vs Oviedo tip: Valencia to win
