We’re a year away from the World Cup and USA do not look like a host nation capable of making a deep run in the competition. Losses to Panama and Canada was followed up by another defeat, this time against Türkiye as Mauricio Pochettino desperately searches for a winning formula as time ticks closer towards arguably the biggest major tournament in US Soccer history.
Switzerland though, are unlikely to provide any restbite. With plenty of seasoned veterans who are consistently playing at the top end of Europe, it would be no surprise to see them extend USA’s misery in Nashville. A rock-solid outfit that does all the basics well but with a touch of class sprinkled across the squad, Switzerland are one of the most underrated national teams out there.
Confidence within the USA squad is likely to be low and Switzerland are in prime position to take advantage. Therefore, back the visitors to extend Pochettino’s misery and subject his USA side to another defeat.
