USA vs Sweden prediction

USA continues to blow away all who stand in their way and have now racked up at least five goals in all of their games played, winning the lot with the most recent being their 6-0 quarter-final thrashing of Italy. Four consecutive shutouts also underline just how strong they’ve also been defensively with Caroline Harvey standing out. The Wisconsin Badger and potential number one pick in the 2026 PWHL draft has to be a contender for tournament MVP as it stands for her performances so far.

Sweden made headlines themselves in the last eight, defeating Czechia 2-0 with an outstanding defensive showing of their own. Goaltender Ebba Svensson Traff was excellent between the posts and will need to be so again this time around. This is a big test for USA against a nation who’ve also won five from five in this tournament, conceding just twice along the way. But Sweden have not played a team of USA’s class yet and could well be caught cold by just how good they are.

Kendall Coyne Schofield’s experience and quality really came to the fore in the quarter-finals with two goals scored against Italy. Backing the 33-year-old Minnesota Frost star to once again demonstrate her offensive ability has to be favoured, as does USA booking a place in the gold medal match.

USA vs Sweden tip: USA to win and Kendall Coyne Schofield to score anytime
