It’s been plain sailing so far for USA, but now business starts to pick up as they enter the knockout stage, with Morocco their opponents in the round of 32.

USA vs Morocco prediction

USA may not have been the most efficient team offensively over the course of the group stage, but they looked rock solid at the back and are clearly a well-drilled machine of a squad. That was proven by them winning all three of their matches in Group I despite not perhaps being at their best as a team, particularly from an attacking standout. But just one goal conceded speaks for itself.

They’ll need to improve as an offensive unit going forward if they are to win the tournament outright. But against a Moroccan side who lost games against Japan and Portugal in the group stage, failing to score in both and conceding eight goals, the expectation is that USA will have enough to get through in 90 minutes.
