USA vs Finland prediction

USA were expected to start in dominating fashion and indeed they did, beating Czechia 5-1. Hilary Knight was on the scoresheet, whilst Hayley Scamurra bagged a brace as the United States flexed their attacking muscle, with the Wisconsin Badgers’ Leila Edwards also impressing. But for Finland, it’s been an absolute nightmare of an Olympics campaign so far after Norovirus swept through their camp, forcing the team’s opening match against Canada to be postponed.

Finland have had limited time on the ice as a result of their players all dropping like flies due to sickness. It’s yet to be determined if they’ll be able to play this game but if they do, USA has to be seen as massive favourites against a massively undercooked side. If USA can replicate their attacking verve of the Czechia, then expect a big win for them.
