USA vs Australia prediction
Last month, the United States defeated Japan by two goals to nil and they then most recently shared a 1-1 draw with an Ecuador side in a couple of improved performances. Mauricio Pochettino has previously endured a very difficult time of it as USMNT boss but things appear to be slightly turning around ahead of this one.
They now face an Australia side that, under the management of Tony Popovic, have themselves been improving. The Socceroos most recently managed to edge past Canada with a surprise 1-0 win last month, backing up back-to-back victories against New Zealand during the September international break.
Australia have been steadier, albeit still limiting themselves in attack, and the United States would have to be viewed as favourites for this one with home advantage.
