Former Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has made Uruguay very entertaining to watch and they will fancy their chances of going deep into the tournament next summer. The Uruguayans have been fairly underwhelming in 2025, although they are unbeaten in their last three matches without conceding.
They now face a Dominican Republic side that come into this one on the back of a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Jordan in the September international break. That is their one match since being knocked out in the group stages of the CONCACAF Gold Cup over the summer.
This match is being played in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia but, despite that, the Uruguayans should still comfortably defeat the Dominican Republic this week.
