Ukraine have put in some shaky performances of late but came out on the right side of things last month as they now take on Azerbaijan in the neutral territory of Poland.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – FOX Sports

How to watch online: UK – Amazon Prime / US – Disney+

Key stats

  • Ukraine have lost only two of their last 13 World Cup qualifying matches (W4 D7).
  • Azerbaijan have lost 11 and drawn two of their last 13 World Cup qualifying matches, since a 5-1 home win against San Marino in September 2017.

Ukraine vs Azerbaijan prediction

Ukraine, under the management of Serhiy Rebrov, come into this one on the back of a thrilling 5-3 victory over Iceland at Laugardsvollur in Reykjavik, with former Olympique de Marseille and Atalanta man Ruslan Malinovskiy starring with an impressive brace for the Ukrainians.

They now face an Azerbaijan side that recently shared a goalless draw with Ukraine in Baku last month, in one of those underwhelming performances and results from the Ukrainians. The Azeri’s most recently frustrated France for large parts before succumbing to a 3-0 defeat to Les Bleus in Paris the other day.

Azerbaijan have a limited squad and have actually been regressing so Ukraine should come out on top with a reasonable comfortable win to back up their win the other day.

Ukraine vs Azerbaijan tip: Ukraine to win
