Ukraine U21 vs Denmark U21 prediction
Ukraine have an emerging squad at senior level but, under Spanish coach Unai Melgosa, will hope to replicate that at U21 level. Their captain is Volodymyr Brazhko, who has nine caps for the senior side, and they also have Vladyslav Vanat in attack, who has a couple of goals in 11 caps for Ukraine’s first-team.
They take on a Denmark side that come into this one on the back of a four-match winless run of form since they confirmed their qualification for the tournament during the October international break. After back-to-back defeats to Germany and Spain in November, they then shared draws with Poland and Italy in March.
Both of these sides are quite middling at this level, albeit it is an open group alongside the Netherlands and Finland, so a draw may well suit both sides in their opening encounter.
