Udinese preview: Mid-table Friulians
Udinese, led by the Pozzo family, have decided to stick by former Legia Warsaw manager Kosta Runjaic, with the intention being for Udinese to try and move into the top-half of the table of Serie A once again.
They have again started the season in typically mid-table form, though, with two victories, three draws and two defeats thus far. They most recently shared a 1-1 draw with Cremonese last weekend.
Lecce preview: Struggling Lecce
Lecce begin the eighth match day of the 2025/26 Serie A season again sitting just outside of the bottom three and the relegation places with the Apulia-based outfit having won just one of their seven matches thus far.
The home team returned from the October international break with a goalless draw against newly-promoted Sassuolo at Stadio Comunale Via del Mare in their most recent outing down south last weekend.
Udinese team news: Nothing fresh
There are no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for Udinese to deal with this weekend, with only defender Thomas Kristensen sidelined due to a thigh injury.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Okoye; Goglichidze, Kabasele, Solet; Zanoli, Ekkenkamp, Karlstrom, Atta, Kamara; Zaniolo, Bayo
Unavailable: Kristensen (Injured)

Lecce team news: A few issues
Lecce head to the north east of Italy with a few confirmed absentees such as defensive duo Matias Perez and Gaby Jean, whilst versatile attacker Riccardo Sottil is a doubt.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Falcone; Veiga, Gaspar, Tiago Gabriel, Gallo; Coulibaly, Ramadani, Berisha; Pierotti, Stulic, Tete Morente
Unavailable: Matias Perez (Injured), Jean (Injured), Rafia (Injured)
Questionable: Marchwinski (Injured), Sottil (Injured)
Udinese vs Lecce prediction
Udinese started the season brilliantly last year, playing on the front foot under the management of Runjaic. Things have stagnated a little bit this year, though, with a few key attacking departures over the summer such as Lorenzo Lucca, Florian Thauvin and Alexis Sanchez. They lack goals and now face a Lecce side playing in the newfound defensive style of Eusebio Di Francesco and a low-scoring encounter is to be expected at the Bluenergy Stadium.
Udinese vs Lecce tip: Under 3.5 goals
