Trabzonspor finished third in this season’s Super Lig. They split the ‘big three’, finishing below Galatasaray and Fenerbahce but ahead of Besiktas. They eased to a 3-1 defeat of Genclerbirligi in the semi-finals of the cup in midweek, too.

They now face a Konyaspor side that head into the cup final in Istanbul on the back of a three successive defeats as they drifted towards the bottom-half of the table, albeit they did hold to finishing ninth, despite being hammered 3-0 by Fenerbahce last week.

Trabzonspor were a touch unconvincing to round off their campaign but they are firm favourites to eventually come out on top and win their tenth cup against a steady Konyaspor side.
