Thomas Frank, at the time of writing, is in charge but he is under immense pressure as Tottenham Hotspur take on Borussia Dortmund.

How to watch on TV: UK – TNT Sports / US – Not televised

Tottenham preview: A bit Spursy

Former Brentford boss Thomas Frank has been immensely underwhelming at Tottenham Hotspur, following his appointment in the summer. Supporters have already majorly turned against the Dane and that has only been made worse by a continuation of woeful performances and results in 2026.

The hosts come into this one on the back of a 2-1 loss at home to capital city rivals West Ham United, who are struggling in the bottom three and the relegation places in the Premier League. Spurs have now managed just one win in their last eight matches across all competitions.

Borussia Dortmund preview: Strong Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund come into this one on the back of a nearly very frustrating result in the Bundesliga at the weekend. Niko Kovac's side were 2-0 up against St Pauli at the Westfalenstadion but eventually saw it reach 2-2 dwith former Peterborough United striker Ricky-Jade Jones notching a late equaliser for the strugglers prior to Emre Can scoring a very late winner.

The Yellow-Blacks have generally been very impressive under the management of Kovac. They are hovering just outside of the top eight in the league phase, though, after a slight dip with one win a draw in their last three matches, having begun the campaign with three successive victories in Europe.

Tottenham team news: Van de Ven suspended

Netherlands international centre-back Micky van de Ven is missing through suspension for this one but Pape Matar Sarr has returned from the CAF Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Danso, Udogie; Gray, Bissouma; Simons, Bergvall, Odobert; Kolo Muani

Unavailable: Van de Ven (Suspended), Davies (Injured), Bentancur (Injured), Gallagher (Ineligible), Maddison (Injured), Kudus (Injured), Kulusevski (Injured), Richarlison (Injured), Tel (Ineligible)

Questionable: Palhinha (Injured)

Borussia Dortmund team news: A few injuries

Borussia Dortmund have a few injury issues for this weekend’s trip to London with defenders Aaron Anselmino and Ramy Bensebaini sidelined alongside Austria international midfielder Marcel Sabitzer.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Kobel; Can, Anton, Schlotterbeck; Couto, Bellingham, Nmecha, Ryerson; Beier, Brandt; Silva

Unavailable: Anselmino (Injured), Bensebaini (Injured), Sabitzer (Injured)

Questionable:

Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund prediction

Tottenham's run of just one win in eight games actually flatters them. Their form has been shocking since what was a reasonably bright beginning to the campaign. Dortmund are a better team, better coached at both ends, and also one that will want to put right what went wrong at the weekend in the league.

Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund Tip: Borussia Dortmund to win
