Thomas Frank is under pressure at Tottenham Hotspur and he hasn’t helped himself with lazy mistakes in midweek off the pitch, such as bizarrely drinking from an Arsenal labelled mug. That came before Spurs succumbed to a 3-2 loss to AFC Bournemouth due to a late Antoine Semenyo strike at the Vitality Stadium.
They now face an Aston Villa side that come into this one on the back of being quite fortunate to share a goalless draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in Croydon. The Villans have been superb ever since a woeful start to the season but Unai Emery’s side are now slipping away from Arsenal at the top-of-the-table.
Villa have a surprising amount of depth and they’ve rotated well this season. They are cohesive and competent, which are a couple of things that Spurs aren’t, and so siding with the visitors appears the best bet for this one.
