Torino preview: In-form Torino

Torino come into this one on the back of an impressive four-match unbeaten run of form in Serie A as they push into the middle-of-the-table, under the management of former Hellas Verona and Lazio boss Marco Baroni.

The home team come into this one on the back of a hard-fought goalless draw against Bologna at the Renato Dall’Ara after back-to-back victories against Genoa and Napoli after the October international break.

Pisa preview: Struggling but steady

Following their promotion to the top-flight last season, Pisa took the decision to appoint former Italy international striker Alberto Gilardino and, despite steady performances, the visitors remain winless after their opening nine matches of the campaign.

They have drawn five and lost four of those nine games with three successive draws ahead of this weekend as they come into this one on the back of a goalless draw with Lazio at Arena Garibaldi in Tuscany the other day.

Torino team news: Couple of doubts

Napoli loanee attacker Cyril Ngonge is a fresh doubt for the home team this weekend alongside Uruguay international goalkeeper Franco Israel, dealing with a wrist injury.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Franco Israel; Tameze, Guillermo Maripan, Saul Coco; Pedersen, Casadei, Ilic, Gineitis, Lazaro; Giovanni Simeone, Adams

Unavailable: Sazonov (Injured), Schuurs (Injured), Nkounkou (Injured)

Questionable: Franco Israel (Injured), Ngonge (Injured)

Pisa team news: Nothing fresh

Experienced centre-back Raul Albiol remains sidelined for the visitors alongside fellow defender Mateus Lusuardi, midfielder Tomas Esteves and former Netherlands youth international attacker Calvin Stengs.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Semper; Caracciolo, Denoon, Canestrelli; Juan Cuadrado, Toure, Aebischer, Marin, Angori; Tramoni, Nzola

Unavailable: Raul Albiol (Injured), Lusuardi (Injured), Esteves (Injured), Stengs (Injured)

Questionable:

Torino vs Pisa prediction

Marco Baroni did an excellent job with Verona and was then unfortunate with a chaotic Lazio, and Torino will believe and hope he is an appointment that can lead them back towards the top seven and the European spots. They face a Pisa side that have been better than being winless would suggest but it does still appear to remain likely that being winless will continue at Stadio Grande Torino this weekend.

Torino vs Pisa tip: Torino to win & under 3.5 goals
