Torino preview: Woeful form
Torino come into this one on the back of a 6-0 hammering at the hands of Como at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia last weekend due to a Tasos Douvikas brace as well as goals from Martin Baturina, Lucas Da Cunha, Nicolas Kuhn and Maxence Caqueret.
The home team have now suffered four successive defeats in Serie A and former Lazio manager Marco Baroni is under pressure as they hover just a couple of points outside of the danger zone in the Italian top-flight.
Lecce preview: Struggling visitors
Under the management of former Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco, Lecce have been struggling throughout the campaign with a third successive relegation possible for the manager as they sit above the danger zone on goal difference.
The visitors did manage to end a four-match losing streak with a goalless draw against Lazio in Apulia last weekend. That draw does, though, mean that they are now winless in their last seven matches in Serie A.
Torino team news: Giovanni Simeone a doubt
As Torino deal with plenty of contractual issues for this one but the hosts do have a couple of key injury doubts, too, such as Moroccan defender Adam Masina and Argentinian striker Giovanni Simeone.
Predicted XI (3-4-1-2): Franco Israel; Tameze, Guillermo Maripan, Saul Coco; Pedersen, Ilkhan, Casadei, Lazaro; Vlasic; Ngonge, Adams
Unavailable: Ismajli (Injured), Schuurs (Injured)
Questionable: Masina (Fitness), Sazonov (Ineligible), Biraghi (Ineligible), Nkounkou (Ineligible), Asllani (Ineligible), Ilic (Injured), Gineitis (Injured), Dembele (Ineligible), Aboukhlal (Injured), Giovanni Simeone (Injured)
Lecce team news: A few injuries
Lecce travel to Turin with no fresh injury concerns but they are dealing with a few key doubts, though, such as midfielders Balthazer Pierret and Medon Berisha, as well as attacker Francesco Camarda.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Falcone; Veiga, Siebert, Tiago Gabriel, Gallo; Gandelman, Ramadani, Coulibaly; Pierotti, Stulic, Banda
Unavailable:
Questionable: Camarda (Injured), Pierret (Injured), Berisha (Injured)
Torino vs Lecce prediction
Torino have tried to become more proactive and progressive but the home team have remained distinctly average in Serie A – and their results have regressed as they hover just above the drop zone. They face a Lecce side that lack goals with the 13 that they have scored the lowest tally in the division. A low quality and low-scoring encounter is to be expected for this one at Stadio Grande Torino in Piedmont.
Torino vs Lecce tip: Under 2.5 goals
