TORINO PREVIEW: FINDING A RUN AGAIN

Over the summer, Torino parted company with Ivan Juric who had led the Piedmont-based club to ninth place in Serie A which, whilst generally impressive, was quite dull because their 38 matches consisted of 72 goals.

Reportedly set to be owned by Red Bull, Torino appointed Paolo Vanoli after he gained promotion with Venezia. It has been a more direct approach this time around and they have started the campaign with four victories, two draws and four defeats.

FIORENTINA PREVIEW: ON A ROLL

In midweek, Fiorentina edged past Genoa by a goal to nil with a late goal from Germany international Robin Gosens. I Viola were not as convincing as they have been in that game but they still managed to get three points on the board.

That was their sixth victory in a row across all competitions and they had scored 15 goals in the previous three matches. Last weekend, the Florence-based outfit hammered Roma by five goals to one at the Artemio Franchi.

TORINO TEAM NEWS: STILL NO DUVAN ZAPATA

FIORENTINA TEAM NEWS: BACK TO FULL STRENGTH

After rotating in midweek, Fiorentina will revert back to a stronger side for this one but they are missing key first-teamers such as Marin Pongracic and Albert Gudmundsson.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): David de Gea; Dodo, Lucas Martinez Quarta, Ranieri, Gosens; Richardson, Bove; Colpani, Beltran, Sottil; Kouame

UNAVAILABLE: Pongracic (Injured), Cataldi (Injured), Gudmundsson (Injured), Kean (Injured)

TORINO VS FIORENTINA PREDICTION

As mentioned, Torino wanted a more entertaining and attacking style of football this season and that is what Paolo Vanoli is attempting to deliver. The Turin-based club now welcome a Fiorentina side that struggled when Raffaele Palladino implemented the three-at-the-back but have become a lot more fluent when reverting to the back four used during Vincenzo Italiano’s reign. This should be quite a fun watch for the neutral in which both teams scoring seems a good bet.
