Key Stats

  • Togo are unbeaten in their last six World Cup qualifying matches at home (W1 D5).
  • Congo DR have won seven of the last nine international matches between these teams (D1 L1).
  • Congo DR have won their last two World Cup qualifying matches away from home.

Togo vs DR Congo Prediction

At the top of Group B of CAF qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Senegal sit unbeaten at the top with 18 points from their eight matches, but just a couple of points ahead of a strong and improving Democratic Republic of Congo side in the runner up spot. They themselves sit four clear of a competitive but now beaten Sudan side.

Togo had been winless in their opening seven matches but they manage to come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 victory over the aforementioned Sudanese last month. The DR Congo went 2-0 up against Senegal to inch towards next summer before suffering heartache with a 3-2 turnaround in the second-half by the Senegalese.

The DR Congo have an abundance of talent across the pitch and will fancy themselves in the playoffs, and they should ensure they get there with a victory this week.
