The New Saints vs Panathinaikos Prediction

The New Saints will once again play their home match in Shrewsbury and after welcoming Swedish club Djurgarden last time out, they now face Greek giants Panathinaikos. Despite the neutral venue, both teams will have plenty of support which should make for an excellent atmosphere and match.

TNS have three points from their four matches so far with their only victory coming against Astana on matchday two. They have lost their last two matches but by a solitary goal as they continue to compete really well even though they are up against it.

This will be another tough test against such a big historic club like Panathinaikos who are in good form themselves. They have won five and drawn one of their last six matches in all competitions and will be eager to kick on in this competition now. They picked up their first win of the league phase against HJK last time out and they will look to follow that up here.

The goals are not exactly flowing for the Greek side however but they are solid defensively. They will look to grind things out, keep it tight and come back with at least a point from this match. They are capable of doing just that but expect a game with very few goals from this one whichever way it goes.

The New Saints vs Panathinaikos Tip: Under 2.5 goals
