THE PREDICTION
Three-time Miami Open champion Victoria Azarenka beat Qinwen Zheng in straight sets on Saturday to back-up a battling three-set opener over Peyton Stearns. The 34-year-old claimed the elusive Sunshine Double here in 2016, winning Indian Wells and Miami back-to-back, and her two Grand Slam titles won at the Australian Open in 2012 and 2013 further suggest she is at her best around this time of year. 27-year-old Katie Boulter will set a new career-high WTA world ranking of around 26th after another excellent result over Beatriz Haddad-Maia, beating the Brazilian for the second time this month after stunning her en-route to a surprise WTA 500 title in San Diego. The 27-year-old is in uncharted waters in the round of 16 of a Masters event but experience favours Azarenka in this first meeting between the two. Back the Belarussian to earn at least a set as the likelier of two very capable quarter-finalists.
