PANNA UDVARDY VS ANASTASIA PAVLYUCHENKOVA PREDICTION
32-year-old Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova set a career-high WTA world ranking of 11th after finishing runner-up to Barbora Krejcikova in the final here three years ago.
The Russian later spent almost a year away from tennis whilst rehabilitating after knee surgery but she returned to Paris with gusto last season, reaching the quarter-finals with a series of battling three-set victories before losing to eventual runner-up Karolina Muchova.
A three-match losing streak coming into Paris is a little concerning but the Russian should have more than enough to get past world number 132 Panna Udvardy in straight sets. 25-year-old Udvardy was edged out in three tight sets by Rebecca Sramkova in qualifying before squeaking into the main draw as a lucky loser but this should be a very short stay.
