FABIAN MAROZSAN VS GRIGOR DIMITROV PREDICTION

An interesting match takes place on Thursday as Fabian Marozsan meets Grigor Dimitrov and the duo have already played once this year in the French Open.

Dimitrov dominated that match 6-0 6-3 6-4 on clay which Marozsan generally likes so it will be interesting to see how this match plays out after such a comprehensive win for the Bulgarian.

Marozsan had good runs at Indian Wells and in Miami on hard courts earlier this year and he comes off a triumph over Corentin Moutet in the first round here. Dimitrov is a class above however and this will be a tough test for the Hungarian.

Dimitrov can be somewhat unpredictable but he has shown his quality remains this year even at the age of 33. So much depends on his mindset and whether he is up for it but he has shone on hard court tournaments this year. In Miami he beat Zverev and Alcaraz en route to the final before losing to Jannik Sinner. We would not rule out a run deep in Cincy but these early rounds and lesser opponents can be dangerous to Dimitrov.

That said, we strongly favour him here to come away with the win and progress to the round of 16.
