EMMA NAVARRO VS TAYLOR TOWNSEND PREDICTION

This is undoubtedly the best year so far in Emma Navarro’s relatively young career and the 23-year-old American is looking in fine form this week in Toronto. She has already registered career-bests in so many different tournaments in 2024 and her performances at Indian Wells earlier in the year on hard courts will give her confidence she can go deep this week.

She meets Taylor Townsend who is having a superb week herself. The 28-year-old is more accustomed to doing well in the doubles but she has enjoyed a great week so far. Her win over Jelena Ostapenko in the round of 16 was particularly impressive although the Latvian was well below par.

She will not find it as easy against Navarro who is on fire right now. Navarro should have too much for Townsend and expect her to progress to the semi-finals.
