ALEXANDER ZVEREV VS TALLON GRIEKSPOOR PREDICTION

Alexander Zverev gets his Paris Masters campaign under way and he faces an opponent that he has met six times before and he has won five of those matches. The latest one came just a couple of weeks ago in Shanghai and he edged a three-setter and he will be confident of doing the same again.

He will have to start fast however and do much better than he did in Vienna. He was knocked out in the quarter-finals by Lorenzo Musetti and it really was a match he should have won after winning the first set 6-2. Musetti won the second set tiebreak and as we have seen so often, Zverev just seemed to lose that belief.

A few days to rest coming into Paris will benefit him after a long season and he does have a pretty good record here.

Griekspoor beat Luciano Darderi in the first round 6-3 6-4 and the Dutchman is always capable of producing a shock. He will fancy his chances of upsetting the third seed here but he will have to be at his best.

Zverev can lean on their recent meeting in Shanghai and their head-to-head record for confidence which he may well need. Fatigue is no doubt creeping in a little for him at this stage of the season after 81 matches (61-20) on the ATP Tour but he should have enough left in the tank to win here.
