Melbourne City Team News: A few issues

Melbourne City’s injury crisis is not quite as bad as it was earlier on in this campaign but experienced Australia internationals James Jeggo and Andrew Nabbout remain unavailable for the visitors alongside Jordan Necovski and Yonatan Cohen.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Beach; Atkinson, Trewin, Souprayen, Behich; Leckie, Ugarkovic; Tilio, Kuen, Rahmani; Caputo

Sydney vs Melbourne City Prediction

The home team have been focused on the AFC Cup this season with a semi-final coming up against the Lion City Sailors next month, having defeated the Jeonbuk Motors a few weeks ago. In the A League, as a result, their form has been inconsistent with eight victories, six draws and six defeats in their 20 matches so far this season.

They now face a Melbourne City side that, under the management of Aurelio Vidmar, have also themselves been inconsistent amidst their aforementioned injury crisis. The visitors most recently suffered a 1-0 loss to an in-form Newcastle Jets side before the March international break.

These are two of the more storied sides in the Australian A League that are both looking to push back towards the top three and both teams scoring would appear a good bet for this one.
